A Spanish Dream Wedding in Estepona
A Spanish Dream Wedding
FINCA SAN FRANCISCO, ESTEPONA

A Romeo & Juliet Story in the hills of Estepona
It still feels crazy to me that there actually are couples who travel across the whole world to get married in that little nest that I call home.
Stephany & Kyle didn’t hesitate to fly in 120 family members and friends all the way from California to celebrate their wedding in El Cortijo San Francisco (funny, right?!) in Estepona.
They turned this beautiful place on earth into a story just like a fairytale. A ceremony under palm trees in front of the old wedding chapel on the property, Spanish tapas and drinks in the rustic “barrio”, then dinner in the garden and their first dance under star light – and the obligatory pool party to end that perfect day.
The venue: El Cortijo San Francisco
If you want to have THE Spanish feeling for your wedding, an authentic, rustic finca is a must. El Cortijo San Francisco gave the wedding of Stephany & Kyle the perfect mix of old Spanish authenticity and modern-chic that they were aiming for. Starting with the ceremony under palm trees in front of the old wedding chapel until the pool party in the end, you couldn’t ask for more luxury.
To make the whole Romeo & Juliet Story complete, there are lots of places for taking beautiful photos: an old tower with a view over the whole area, a quite terrace to get the intimate couple shots, cute stairs that give you the European castle vibe. And believe me, this really makes the difference in how the whole day feels: in this case, just right out of a fairytale.

How they made their day Special

01.
They made it adults-only
This might not be for everyone. Despite having a child themselves, Steph & Kyle decided to celebrate their wedding without the little ones. No responsibilities for the day, just enjoying and soaking everything in.
02.
They didn’t rush through the day
I see this a lot: straight timelines, tight plans and then getting stressed when one part doesn’t work out as planned. Be prepared that there is something to go wrong. It is normal – and it is not a problem, if you don’t stick to your plans too much. Take time for yourself on your wedding day, plan in some free time between the events, so you can enjoy every moment without worrying.
03.
They put effort into the details
By that, I don’t only mean flowers, decoration and small gimmicks that made the day special. It was the flamenco guitarist who played during cocktail hours to give it the real Spanish vibe. It was the song they chose for their big entrance (Love Story by Taylor Swift). It was choosing the right time for starting the ceremony for having the perfect light. And, and, and. But don’t worry, you don’t have to know all these things by yourself – ask your vendors, they will help you create the perfect experience for you!
